Don Van Hook President and CEO

Donald (Don) Van Hook is president of Van Hook Dental Studio, a dental laboratory with national recognition for being a leader in the fine art of dental restoration established in 1983. Having over 30 years of experience specializing in full mouth reconstruction and implants, Don earned his degree from Indiana University in dental technology. His laboratory is affiliated with the NADL, AACD, AGD, and LVI. He also has had comprehensive training through the Dawson Panky institute as well as knowledge of LVI guidelines and the neuromuscular philosophy. He has taken and continues to take many courses on esthetics occlusion and implants. Don lectures on lab communication, esthetic design and CAD/CAM dental materials.
In addition to his passion for dentistry, Don has a passion for fine wine. He is president and co-founder of the Phoenix Wine Society. He also serves on the board of review for the Boy Scouts of America.
Kim Van Hook, CDA

Kim Van Hook is the co-founder of Van Hook Dental Studio. She has co-owned and led the business alongside her husband Don Van Hook for nearly 30 years. She started her career as a graduate of Bryman Medix School in Maryland, where she worked as a certified dental assistant for renowned prosthodontists. After moving to Arizona, she trained as a dental technician for nine years while creating and developing systems and procedures vital to growing her business. Her knowledge in dental operatory procedures and dental laboratory procedures has complimented communication between the laboratory and dental office. In this ever-changing industry she continually works to streamline procedures and develop Van Hook Dental Studio's information technology. She has been published in JDT magazine and lectures on the use of a dental laboratory management software system.
In addition to her passion for dental technology she is an active mother of two. She enjoys decorating, traveling and exercising.
Chuck Genco, CDT General Manager

Chuck Genco, an honor student graduate from the Naval School of Dental technology, has over 25 years of expertise in the dental arena. Chuck began his career in New York where he owned and operated a 40 plus technician full service dental lab. Chuck moved to Arizona in 2003 where he accepted a position as General Manager with Van Hook Dental Studio. He brought to Van Hook Dental Studio his expertise in the field of implantology and cosmetic reconstruction. He lectures extensively on implants and dental materials. A leader in the area of immediate and early loading of dental implants, Chuck continues his education with various implant systems as they develop.
Chuck is a member of the Saguaro Study Club, Summit Study Club and a regular contributor for the Synergy Training Programs in the valley. Chuck is the former president of the Upstate New York Dental Laboratory Association. Chuck resides in Mesa, Arizona with his wife and five children.
Lisa Eder Operations Manager
Lisa Eder began her career in California as an office manager with a mechanical supply company. Moving to Arizona, she started her dental career with Van Hook Dental Studio as an administrative assistant. For the past 13 years, Lisa has managed the data entry and the shipping department at Van Hook Dental Studio. As the current operations manager, Lisa has leadership over 50 employees, coordinating and scheduling all case needs. She stands alone with her customer service skills by meeting or exceeding client's expectations.
Lisa is the proud mother of two. She is involved in their scholastic and sporting activities. She enjoys reading, traveling, and shopping.
Tom Wooler Technical Manager

Tom Wooler was introduced to Dental Technology in November 1973. He attended all of the continuing education that was available at that time and continues to do so today. In 1984, he opened his own laboratory, specializing in fixed restorations. It was at this time that osseointegrated implants were beginning to make their impact. During this time, Tom attended lectures at some of the leading universities in the country. All through his years as an owner he was active in the Arizona Dental Laboratory Association, eventually serving as President from 1992-1993. In 1994, Tom closed his laboratory due to illness. In 2005, he began employment at Van Hook Dental Studio as the Technical Manager.
It is at Van Hook Dental Studio that the application of his experience in the field has come to full fruition, combining his skills with those of an incredible management and technical staff and cutting edge technology to create state of the art dental restorations. Tom is also an alumni of the Las Vegas Institute.
Jeremy Guidinger
Digital Production Manager
Jeremy Guidinger began employment with Van Hook Dental Studio before eventually becoming the Digital Production Manager. After graduating college with a degree in animation and the arts, he started as a basic framework designer in some of the founding CAD/CAM technology. To gain better knowledge of contour and anatomy, he worked in porcelain where he took several courses with Vita and Ivoclar. Once the dental industry began to expand and new technologies were being employed, Jeremy founded the CAD/CAM department. His department began with one system where he took many courses to have the best knowledge and experience with the growing technology. Jeremy has spent many hours researching upcoming systems and analyzing them to see if they will be a leader in CAD/CAM technlogy. Jeremy's department currently has six different systems that he oversees and has full knowledge of.
Outside of work, Jeremy is also a photographer and uses these skills to manage the custom shades with cosmetic anterior cases. He is constantly looking to expand his knowledge within the dental community by speaking on behalf of different CAD/CAM systems and how they can be incorporated into the dental laboratory. In this ever-changing industry, Jeremy hopes to see every part of the lab use precise accuracy of CAM technology to further help the dental community.
Prentice (Penny) McIntyre Master Dental Ceramist, MDT, CDT
Penny McIntyre is a Master LVI trained and Certified Dental technician (CDT) of 30 years. She has been a senior ceramist at Van Hook Dental Studio since 1990. She has maintained and surpassed many technical ceramic courses and her work has been acknowledged with a medal by the AACD. Her expertise includes consulting regularly with case planning of full mouth reconstructions with dental clients and patients and is team leader of the all ceramic department at Van Hook Dental Studio. Prior to her current position, she owned her own dental laboratory McIntyre Dental Ceramics.
Penny takes great joy in giving patients the confidence to smile again by practicing what she preaches with a philosophy of, “A winning smile makes winners of us all.”
Penny resides in beautiful Cave Creek Arizona with her husband and two sons. She is an artist in life.
John Ingall Implant Coordinator

John Ingall graduated from the University of Arizona in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science. Since then he has worked in the dental laboratory industry with experience in supply management and implant coordination. He has worked at Van Hook Dental Studio since the spring of 2008 as the Implant Coordinator. John's strengths include a wide and strong knowledge of the product catalogs for all major implant brands. He is an excellent resource to aid your practice in managing your dental implant needs.
John currently lives in the Tempe area. He enjoys camping and volunteering.
Julia Eng Communications Coordinator
Julia Eng graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and Northern Arizona University with a Master's Degree in Special Education. She worked at Van Hook Dental Studio while she was attending Arizona State University. At that time, she worked in the shipping department. After teaching for 8 years, she decided to return to the dental field. For the past year, Julia has managed Human Relations at Van Hook Dental Studio.
Julia is an Arizona native, born and raised in the Phoenix area. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, shopping, scrapbooking, and volunteering her time with special needs.
